Dr. Kukke Subramanya PR, a dedicated ophthalmologist from Poorigali, Mandya, established Sindhu Eye Hospital in Mysore in 2001, along with outreach clinics in Nanjangud and Malavalli, driven by a mission to provide quality eye care, especially to rural communities.
A top academic achiever, he earned an MBBS from Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore, and an MS in Ophthalmology from Mysore Medical College, receiving the Dr. M.C. Modi Gold Medal.
Dr. Kukke Subramanya PR's contributions include over 40,000 surgeries, pioneering AI-assisted cataract surgery, and involvement in government health initiatives like the RSBY and Yeshasvini Scheme.
His Sindhu Charitable Trust has organized over 5,000 eye camps, and Sindhu Eye Hospital became Mysore's first eye hospital with NABH accreditation in 2018, reflecting his commitment to accessible, high-quality eye care.
